How to apply

The Universidad Santo Tomás of Colombia - through its International office -wishes to integrate incoming students as part of an academic or a work placement exchange appreciating the different life experiences and diversity they will bring to our campus.

If you are interested in being part of USTA, you have 2 options:

1) As an Exchange Student, within an agreement or alliance between your home university and USTA.

2) As a Visiting Student who wants to study abroad (out of any agreement or alliance between your home university and USTA), or as a External Transfer Student (to finish your studies at USTA).

Incoming exchange Student with agreement

Admission Requirements 

Application Deadline, call 2017-2 fall semester: May 13, 2017

You have to be a current student at the University where USTA has Bilateral Agreement
You have to be on the third semester minimum.
You have to reach a medium level of spanish (B1). 

Application Process

Ask to the International Office of your Home University or Academic institution to get more information about the bilateral agreement

Make an academic plan- or work plan for work placement

  • Application Form USTA
  • -Official Letter from the home University to present the student and which certificate the relation between the University and the student
  • -Cover Letter to explain why do you want to be part of the USTA
  • -Student's Academic Records certificated by the home academic program - from the first to the last approved academic semester
  • -Copy of  the Passport (information page),
  • -Copy of the International Healthcare Certificate
  • -Certificate of the Spanish level.

Visiting Student without international agreement with USTA

Visiting Student without international agreement with USTA

You can also come to study with us under the Visiting Student figure (without agreement), in which you are allow to take courses at USTA paying the tuition costs. It would be your responsibility to verify in your home university the approval of the credits taken here. The difference of this option to come in agreement, is that you pay the tuition in USTA (not your university) and credit approval is not previously studied between the parties.

External Transfer at USTA

  • The external transfer requests the approval of studies in order to pursue and complete your career at USTA. This is a procedure done through our Admissions Department for which we recommend visiting the procedure 'Transfers'. We are delighted to receive your application and answer any questions or concerns that arise.
